WHO BAHRAIN NEWSLETTER: January-June 2025

This year marks the start of implementing WHO’s Fourteenth General Programme of Work (GPW 14), which sets our global strategic direction for 2025–2028, with a renewed focus on advancing health equity, strengthening resilience, and delivering impact at country level. These priorities came into sharp focus at the 78th World Health Assembly in May, where Member States adopted the landmark WHO Pandemic Agreement—an unprecedented step toward stronger, more equitable global health preparedness.
