UNSG António Guterres’ message on World Humanitarian Day observed on 19 August 2024

On this World Humanitarian Day 19th August, we stand in solidarity with our fellow humanitarians and victims of conflicts and other situations of violence everywhere. We honour those we’ve lost. We fervently deplore that the world is failing to protect us and the people we serve. And we demand that those in power act for humanity to end violations and the impunity with which they are committed.
